Facebook allows you to meet people across the world and learn new things as you navigate the platform. Youtube is a social media platform where people mostly post videos to entertain/educate people. People who post on this platform are known as “youtubers.” You can also interact with people on this platform via youtube comments. Whatsapp is a social media platform where people use it mostly to chat with people but you can also post “whatsapp status” to let people know what you are up to or you could just use it to post videos/photos that you’d like to share with people.

“Demographics” is basically just a group of people that are divided into different groups based on things like their age, interests, or problems. Social media platforms use this demographic information to target the right audience for their advertisements or other business related stuff.

Facebook is mostly used by people who are a bit older compared to Instagram and Snapchat. This may be because Facebook has been around for longer than these two apps and old people just decided to stick with it. Facebook has a pretty balanced amount of males and females who are in their late adulthood and most are either married or divorced people looking for new love interests. Facebook can also be a business page for companies and entrepreneurs. Youtube has an age demographic of all kinds, from young to old since it has almost everything you can think of. Youtube is a platform which is used by everyone no matter their gender or age, it has videos for children, teens, and adults. Every youtuber who has a pretty good amount of subscribers will likely be making a decent amount of money through ad revenues and views, so almost everyone is self-employed. Whatsapp is an app used mostly by late teenagers and adults. This app is used mostly to chat and most people are single trying to find their love interests. You could also do business in this app via group chats or posting your products on whatsapp status.

People are spending about 28 minutes a day on WhatsApp. They spend about 196 minutes per week and about 784 minutes per month.

Youtube is growing the fastest because of the variety of content they have on their platform and they have also recently introduced “youtube reels” which is similar to apps like TikTok. Mass number of children watch youtube for gaming and other children related contents. YouTube has always remained at the top of the list when it comes to social media networks and I don’t think it is ever going down.

Majority of the viewers access these websites via mobile devices since it is easier to carry around and open it whenever you feel like it. People use computers or tablets to access these websites if they are to multitask or watch a movie.
