Where to get help?
Sometimes while being a designer it can be hard to make or get started on a project and it’s hard to get out of that hole but luckily nowadays we have the internet that can help us with these moments. I have been able to find some helpful resources that can help you refresh your mind on the fundamentals on design and what to keep in mind while designing.
1.How to illustrate with Jeremy Slagle
This video takes you step by step with Jeremy Slagle on how to illustrate a animal and what skills and tools you will use. This is a very well done and accessible tutorial for anyone to use. It is also a reliable one too because it was a collaborated video with adobe and Slagles Designs. I fortunately have been able to interview Jeremy Slagle and I can firmly say that he is a reliable and very creative designer. The video is sectioned off into a step by step tutorial with timestamps on each step that are being showed.
2.11 Simple Design Tips to Enhance Your Social Media Images
This website is a helpful reminder on what to keep in mind when designing. The author goes thru each fundamental design in detail and explains in a very clear well spoken way. Each section is well explained and can be very helpful for a quick reminder or refresher on the fundamentals. This resource will be one I will be using in the future when I most likely won’t remember something.
This is a very well done video that was made on skillshare by 2 very well spoken designers. With the video being on skillshare there are helpful timestamps to remind you what section your on and if you forget something you can always go back to it. In order to get the full course you’ll have to pay for the full video but with it being one of the most popular graphic design videos on the website I’d say it’s worth it. This will be something I intend to come back to for help on a skill that I may be wanting to improve.
Content Management System
With people and business trying to expand their company it had been very important that you make a well designed website to help your business grow and reach potential customers. Being able to use a content management system can be a very powerful to to help layout and design your website but first, what is a content management system?
Content management system (or CMS) is a application allows you to manage your content, allows multiple people to collaborate, edit, and create. It helps you easily make a website with very little knowledge on where to start. You can also use a CMS for a mobile device. With this easily accessible way to build your own website it’s no surprise that most websites use a CMS but there is also another way to make a website without using a CMS.

Coding your website by hand is also another method that you can do to build your own website. The main problem with this is that you have to manually code it yourself which can take some time to do for someone who doesn’t know what there doing. This makes people want to find an alternative way to make there website that’s easier like WordPress but there are still some benefits from coding by hand. With being able to code by hand it allows you for more possibilities on how you want your website to look exactly like you want it to be than using a CMS limited designs.

The current best way to start your website fast and easy it by using a CMS like wordpress because if you don’t have the technical skills to code by hand then using a CMS can help you get started. Although you won’t have some of the benefits that coding by hand has, you’ll still be able to make a good looking website for yourself that’s not time consuming.

With having more of a presence online now a days I believe that CMS will not replace a web developer because there are still very valuable aspects of being a web developer that using a CMS doesn’t offer. A CMS should be used as a tool to get an idea of what you want but it shouldn’t replace the job of a web developer.

It could be about health, a book, sports or anything they want and its based on the person who uploads to that channel. People who have a product or service that they would like to share may be interested in making a youtube channel so that the information being given out to there viewers is more clear. Also its very helpful to receive feedback from your viewers as well.

Hi, my name is Jeremy and I’m 17 years old and I’m looking forward to this class. I’m trying to do graphic design because it allows me to have freedom of my schedule and not worry about other things. Also, it’s just fun to see what you make be turned into something that people can use. Something that I enjoy outside of school though is biking. I love being able to just go out on a peaceful and stress-free ride on my back because it’s a nice way to clear my head from everything else. I also enjoy doing sports like soccer for example. My whole family loves soccer so it’s always a nice way to spend time with them. I have also been able to travel this during summer break to Honduras which was such an amazing experience to have. I was able to go to the beach and try all sorts of delicious foods and the best part was that I was with my younger brother and my best friend throughout the whole trip. I learned a lot about how things are so much more different over there than here in the US and I’m glad I was able to enjoy that trip. My main goal is to be able to turn this into a career hopefully someday so that I can support myself and not have to worry about finding a job. This program helps with that process and it allows me to learn even more than I thought I would.
