I have chosen the topic of crypto currency, I thought this was a cool topic because I know how big of a topic it was not even a year ago. I wanted to get into crypto currency but I was not willing to risk losing my money incase it was all just a joke for the smaller companies and I did not want to lose a lot of money in the end. A little to know about crypto currency is crypto currency is a form of digital asset based on a network that is distributed across a large number of computers. This decentralized structure allows them to exist outside the control of governments and central authorities. The advantages of crypto currencies include cheaper and faster money transfers and decentralized systems that do not collapse at a single point of failure. The disadvantages however of crypto currencies include their price volatility, high energy consumption for mining activities, and use in criminal activities. While going a little more in depth with the advantages Crypto currency can offer investors diversification from traditional financial assets such as stocks and bonds. While there’s limited history on the price action of the crypto markets relative to stocks or bonds, so far the prices appear uncorrelated with other markets. meaning crypto currency can be more trust worthy than just a regular stock or bond in most cases.
Mobile Apps
The 2 apps that I will be going over is going to be Tik Tok, and Instagram.
Starting with Tik Tok, I think this app is great, only for the reason that the target audience is yourself. When you get Tik Tok you start you feed off with random videos that Tik Tok just throws at you and it slowly adjust to the videos that you like and save and repost to give you a full feed based on what you like. I use Tik Tok a lot of my free time because the videos are being suggested to me for a reason, it is all videos that they know I will enjoy. You also have a feature that allows you to send videos to your friends, and a follower tab so if you do not like that page that is made for you, you can watch the videos from the creators that you follow which is always a bonus. Tik Tok is used for entertainment purposes just to watch short videos that you can enjoy in your free time. Tik Tok generates revenue from ad revenue and in-app gift purchases. The ads function synonymously as those from other social media platforms: advertisers select their target demographic and Tik Tok places this messaging in front of the advertiser’s desired audience.
Instagram alike Tik Tok is made for you by the people that you follow. Instagram is a website or app that you use to keep up with your friends and family, you can post pictures and videos of what you do in your life, it can be occasional or 10 a day which is why its nice. Instagram is just a good place for people to hang out and send videos to each other and keep up with one another’s lives without reaching out to that person all of the time. The Instagram business model is primarily based on advertising. The platform has many advertising formats, such as photo and video ads, carousel ads, story ads, and sponsored content. With over 2 billion active monthly users, the popularity of this social media platform is growing exponentially. The easiest way to use Instagram is to just test out everything before you start asking people for their Instagram that way you know what you are doing.
The Cloud
There are many cloud services you can choose. I am choosing to go with AWS also known as Amazon Web Services, along with the choice of google drive cloud.
Starting with AWS they have many great features of storing stuff through the web AWS is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud, offering over 200 fully featured services from data centers globally. Millions of customers—including the fastest-growing startups, largest enterprises, and leading government agencies are using AWS to lower costs, become more agile, and innovate faster. I would say yes this does work NOT in the cloud as it has such a good strange system that it can work without the cloud entirely and still keep all the data stored. The advantages of having it on a distributed network is that AWS enables you to select the operating system, programming language, web application platform, database, and other services you need. With AWS, you receive a virtual environment that lets you load the software and services your application requires. This eases the migration process for existing applications while preserving options for building new solutions. it just gives you so much free rein when using it. I do not have any concerns with AWS not keeping my privacy hidden, they are already such a big company that it would be detrimental if private information got out under their supervision, so they take it to the fullest seriousness which is why I can say I trust AWS a lot.
Google Drive is also a great cloud storage system, they are very large and very trustworthy. Google Drive lets you store files of all shapes and sizes. And you can then share these or keep them safely and privately in your Drive; the choice is yours. Files attached to emails can also be saved straight to Drive, which means you can keep important attachments organized and right where you need them. Unfortunately though Google Drive is a cloud-based storage service that enables users to store and access files online. The service syncs stored documents, photos and more across all the user’s devices, including mobile devices, tablets and PCs which is a bit of a bummer but they are still one of the best cloud storage services you can get. The advantage of having it on a distributed network is that you can take it anywhere you would like and still access what you need when you need it and you do not even have to be on internet to access the files, incase you do not trust the internet of the place you are at when you open up google drive. I have no concerns with the chance of my information being leaked anywhere, google has always been very good about keeping information that you want private, to stay private which is why I think they are a great cloud storage system.

1. What were the top three social media sites, in terms of traffic, in 22-23? List them in order of popularity.
The top 3 websites and social medias used in 2022-2023 was Facebook, YouTube, and WhatsApp. Facebook had a popularity of 3.03 billion MAUs. which was the highest for 22-23, YouTube was used by 2.5 billion users, While WhatsApp was used 2 billion times by users. Which was a 0.5 Decrease from first to second to third give or take a few.
2. Provide a brief summary of how each social media site works and why people use it.
Facebook- Used to share photos or messages with family and friends.
YouTube- Used by people who want to post about their lives in any way possible from video games, to Vlogs, to eating on a camera people use YouTube for everything.
WhatsApp- It lets users of iPhone and Android smartphones and Mac and Windows PC call and exchange text, photo, audio and video messages with others across the globe for free, regardless of the recipient’s device.

Demographic data is information on the size, growth or distribution of the population. Perhaps surprisingly, demographic data can tell you more about your community than its size and whether it is growing or declining.

American women are far more likely to use social media than their male counterparts. 78% of women said they use it compared to just 66% of men. Those between the ages of 19 and 29 are the most active on social media (84% have an account). They’re followed closely by users aged 30-49 (81%), 50-64 (73%), and 65+ (45%)

According to the latest data, as of 2022, the average amount of time spent on social media worldwide is 151 minutes per day. Which is 2.52 hours and that’s just the average so some people are on their social media accounts even more than that.
6. Which of the three social media networks is growing the fastest? Why do you think that is?
I would say that YouTube is growing the fastest now, only because there are kids growing up that want to be YouTubers as their jobs and want to make videos for people to see and see their lives. I think that it has the most potential out of any of the 3 to stay so consistently at the top of the demographics.
7. How are the majority of visitors accessing these three sites (computer, mobile device, tablet)?
The majority of users use their phones because it is the most accessible to people and you can take it on the go with you whenever you would want it.

Cyber Attack Awarness
One major type of attack is one that they are going to benefit from in some kind of way. Some hackers go for a company with a lot of money and either go straight for a bank account which is pretty hard, or they go for a part of the business that will bring money in. They focus Cash and/or Data-Rich Organizations and Businesses. There is also the hackers who just threaten you and say they will do things when in reality they cannot or will not do anything. There are also hackers who will send Indirect threats to you, such as saying if you do not do this then I will do this to someone else you know basically. It is a cheap thing to do but it does work on most people who this type comes across, they mostly focus on lower end companies not making a lot but the hackers know that they can hit multiple in a week to make plenty money. Lastly there are the hackers that go for the little personal stuff from individuals and sell your information on the dark web. They focus stuff like your cloud drive and try to target your banking, or photos, maybe even social medias. Social media targets only focus social media so that they can use your platform to send out a link to your followers and get them to click that link because they think they can trust it because it is sent from your account when in reality it just sends them to a dead link that takes their information from the social media and they sell that information.

As the IT supervisor I would advise putting up a firewall so it makes hackers have to hack even further into the company just to get something. It may not fully stop them but it will slow them down or may even discourage them enough to give up and find an easier target..

New Features
I found this new Generative fill feature using AI technology within photoshop. To sum up the general idea behind it, you can take an empty space in your photo or file and add what ever you want to add. You select a spot and type in the bottom what you want to fill it with and photoshop uses ai to fill in the spot for you. This is a brand new feature in photoshop just coming out in early 2023. Adobe is posting the content, I am seeing it all around from YouTube ads to Instagram ads about them showing off this feature. I think they have authority because photoshop is their app. They are using things such as little popups showing off what it does and the author is upvoted with many blogs and post to back up their credibility. The information is very well written and easy to follow it gives a step by step and shows you what you need to do to get this generative fill. it even shows little videos so you don’t have to just read it incase you may not know where something is. I would definitely use this resource in the future. It is a highly credible source and gives a very good background into what you need to do or what the topic is, with plenty of information to show you what you need to do.
Content Management Systems
A content management system also known as CMS is an application that is used to manage content, allowing multiple contributors to create, edit and publish. Content in a CMS is typically stored in a database and displayed in a presentation layer based on a set of templates like a website. Most websites use a content management system, but you could make one without a CMS, writing directly in a programming language like HTML and CSS.
CMS helps users understand, maintain, and manage content stored within a database in a web server with proper security to support the site with protocols and can be assembled using flexible programming and markup languages such as HTML and PHP ( Hypertext Preprocessor ).
I would say that currently CMS is the way to go when making a website. It makes the programming easier than HTML and gives you so many more benefits than HTML does. Just listing a few pros and cons of HTML first the PROS, HTML is more secure than CMS so there is less of a chance of you being hacked, Some CMS pages can be very code heavy so it could cause them to open slower, you can use other coding language to incorporate into your website. Some CONS are It takes longer to code the website using HTML, older versions of HTML can make updating the code a little harder to do if need be. Some PROS of CMS are, The ability to control design using CSS files is a great functionality, You can have 100% control over your URL, title, meta tags as well as every aspect of your content on a page. Some CONS are, If you really want a good looking website, you will need some HTML knowledge so you would need HTML in the end anyways, You might have to be a bit technical to be able to implement a CMS. You might also need to do some research or get some outside help.
No I wouldn’t say that CMS is taking away jobs from web developers I would say that it is making it easier for them in a sense. That is if they use it then it could benefit them and they wouldn’t have to spend as much time making a website and can make more money by making more websites faster and getting clients more often. But I could see how it is taking away from the authentic feel of making websites for some developers who love the HTML or CSS coding and do it just for that.

If you asked me who would use the World Wide Web more often between mobile devices and desktops/computers I would be honest and say that I did not know or my guess would be mobile but according to techjury they say that “mobile devices accounted for 49.78% of all web visits, while desktops made up the remaining 50.22%.” which is a really close comparison a lot closer than I would have thought. They do also expect the mobiles percentage to go up by 5% by next year making mobile take the lead for usage. No matter the screen you are viewing it on it should fit onto it. they are necessary because it gives you more of a chance or opportunity to expand through the web if it is accessible through all of the screen sizes and platform available. SEO stands for search engine optimization, which is the process of improving a website or a web page so it increases its visibility and relevance in search engines like Google or Bing. Dynamic content is the term used to describe site content that automatically adapts to various pre-defined conditions, such as particular user signals. A Content Management System (CMS) is a software that helps users create, manage, and modify content on a website without the need for technical knowledge which I believe I work with on InDesign. A YouTube channel is a channel created to make videos to share across the web with others. Most of the time they are used to share vlogs which are video logs or used for many, many other reasons someone who may want to start one is someone with a blog and let them take a different approach by sharing their experiences through a video.
