Today, more people access the web through mobile devices. According to “51 Mobile vs. Desktop Usage Statistics For 2022”, “In 2022, mobile phones generate 60.66% of website traffic, while desktops and tablets are responsible for 39.34%” (Petrov, 2022). These statistics show that most people access the web using mobile devices.

The World Wide Web is not controlled by one specific person, organization, or government. The World Wide Web is made up of independently operated networks. It is comprised of all public websites that are accessible to users through the internet.  

  1. Who is Tim Berners Lee? What is he best known for?

Tim Berners Lee is a British computer scientist. He is best known for creating the World Wide Web. Tim Berners Lee worked at CERN and at Computer Systems Ltd. Lee’s work allowed for the development of communication between computers. 

  1. What is a blog? What is it used for?

A blog is an online journal written by an individual, group, or organization that is published on the Web. A blog often contains material relating to a specific topic, activity, or belief. Many blogs also contain images and internet links. Blogs are used to share information with others. Blogs also offer forums for visitors to comment on the blog and interact with the publisher.

A responsive website design is a development approach that allows the appearance of a website to change depending on the size and orientation of the screen on which it is being displayed. A responsive website design uses breakpoints to determine the layout of a website depending on the device being used to view the website. This allows the elements of the page to be reshuffled as the size of the viewport changes.

A responsive website design is necessary as it allows a website to be viewed on a variety of devices. By using a responsive website design, the same HTML is served to all devices. This eliminates the need to create separate sites that correspond to differently sized viewports. Responsive website designs also allow sites to be usable at all screen sizes and resolutions. This ensures that users can access a website on all devices.

Search engine optimization is the process of increasing the visibility of a website in the search engine results. Search engine optimization is important as an increase in website traffic can be attributed to a higher ranking in the search engine results. Website owners and managers should be concerned with SEO because websites with a higher search engine ranking are more visible to users, are more relevant to users, and are more likely to be viewed.

Dynamic content is online or digital content that changes based on data. Dynamic content changes based on user preferences and behaviors. Dynamic content changes so that it is personalized to the user. Dynamic content is used to increase consumer engagement and present relevant content to users. 

  1. What is a content management system? You work with one, what is its name?

A content management system is software that allows users to manage and create content without having to directly interact with a web server. Content management systems are made up of a content management application and a content delivery application. The content management application allows users to add and manage the content on a website. The content delivery application allows visitors to view the content the user added into the content management application. WordPress is an example of a content management application. 

  1. What is a YouTube channel? Who might want to start one?

A YouTube channel is a platform that allows a user to upload videos and interact with other YouTube channels. A YouTube channel is an account that allows users to post videos, interact with videos, and view content. Someone who wants to share content about a specific topic or communicate with others through videos may want to start a YouTube channel.
