Hey there readers today we will be talking about technology of the Future and how the Technology is able to work and more. Without further ado here we go.
Today we will be using the Nintendo Switch system for this talking point topic. the way this system works is where the console allows you to switch from handheld mode which allows the user to use the system on the go. and TV mode with the provided switch dock to allow the user to play the video game from the comfort of their home on a TV screen. the hardware needed are the console itself, the Joy-con controllers, the Dock to charge the console, and Finally an AC adapter and an HDMI cable. the software required for this particular system is a retail or downloadable video game. The advantages of buying the downloadable version is that the customer can buy the game from the console’s store and it will be directly downloaded on the system and the user can play the game right then and there or if it’s a new game they’ll be able to play it the day of release. The advantage of buying the video game from retail is that the customer has a physical version of the game that they can have the game displayed on their shelves with a unique video game case. the Network that is required for this console to function is through either a wireless network connection or by using an LAN adapter for a wired network connection to the internet. This console is available to the public audience allowing the video game community to be immersed in the vast variety of video game genres for a person to choose from and the Nintendo Switch has currently sold over 143.4 million units as of August 2024 and the console had outsold it’s predecessor’s the Nintendo Wii U and the 3ds systems and the Nintendo switch has outsold the PlayStation 5 by 81.90 Million units in hardware as of July 2024 (couldn’t find any current numbers). which is a great accomplishment for Nintendo as a company. Nintendo as a company developed the switch with the idea from Yoshiaki Koizumi’s idea of allowing the controllers to be able to attach to and from the console itself. The Problem that is solved by Nintendo Switch is that the console is a source of entertainment that allow the users to escape from society and the struggles of real life and have a fantastic time in the the video game universe. one of the drawbacks of the switch is the expensive first party video games. one way this console would impact society is that it will be able to assist people to conquer boredom and escape the struggles of reality and get immersed in the digital World.
we are also going to be talking about the PlayStation VR system and how it functions. The way that the PlayStation VR headset works is where it allows the user of the system to be fully immersed with the video game universe they are put into with the headset on and just explore the world with the headset having a 360-degree vision for the player and the OLED screen of the hardware to run the visuals of the video game at a nicely smooth 120fps which creates the best immersion for the user. For the user to be able to use the PlayStation VR headset the hardware required is the headset itself, PlayStation camera, and the PlayStation camera adaptor. The Software that is apart of the VR headset comes down to video games like Astro bot Rescue Mission and other games for the headset. The PlayStation VR Technology doesn’t require any type of Network to be able to function. The PlayStation VR headset is Available to the public with over 3 million units of the headset across the world. The Sony Interactive Entertainment Studio is the company who created the PSVR (PlayStation VR) they released it on October 13, 2016. The Problem that was Solved by PSVR is to give immersive Entertainment for the user when they have nothing to do and just want to escape from Reality and the struggles of life. The only danger that might come from the headset is hurting your eyes and then getting a headache but otherwise this Technology is very unique. The impact of this technology on society would be that it would give society a whole different world to be able to explore and get immersed in the scenery of the digital world and escape the boredom of our reality and the struggles it brings along with it.
