WK7 Digital Media Design-Where can you turn for help?

The three sources I found are, how to “Apply Filters” in Photoshop by Adobe, a video on Adobe on how to “Get creative with freeform gradients”, and how to “Insert a table” in InDesign also on Adobe.

  1. Technology changes very rapidly, how current is the information you found?

The information is still very recent because Adobe must keep up with the times in order to make people want to use their software applications.

  1. Who is posting the information? Are they an authority on the matter? How can you tell?

Adobe.com is the one posting the information and I would say they are very an authority because it is their material.

  1. What types of gatekeeping mechanisms are in place for the source you found? (i.e., is there an editor or are posts up/downvoted democratically?)

I could not find a lot of information on it but since Adobe is such a big site, we would assume they have their own gatekeeping mechanisms in place. Big sites such as Adobe.com obviously have these kinds of things in place to protect their site. They should probably be the only ones to write the tutorials because since it is their software, they would know better than anyone on how to use it.

  1. Discuss the quality of the information. Is it well written, clear, and easy to follow?

Two were videos and one was written out but from what I saw and read they were very well put together. They were all easy to follow, easy to understand, and informative. As we know some things can be very confusing, but their tutorials are pretty good at teaching you how to use it properly.

  1. Finally, is this a resource you might use in the future, and if so, why?

It is very much a resource I will be using in the future. I already knew adobe had these tools, but I wasn’t always quite sure how to use them but now that I know they have pretty efficient tutorials I will be able to better use them in the future.
