Concourse takes a complex syllabus management process and streamlines it, providing a single cloud-based solution for creating, revising, auditing, and discovering syllabi. The outcome is syllabi that are clear, accessible, and beautifully organized. Your students will have the information they need to be successful in their courses – where and when they need it – with a lighter workload for everyone at your institution.

At COTC, we’re in the process of implementing Concourse college wide, with the goal of having 100% implementation (used in every course) for the Autumn 2024 Semester.

This page is designed to help you get your syllabi updated and integrated into your Canvas course.

COTC Implementation Notes

  • All full- and part-time faculty are expected to be using Concourse for the Autumn 2024 semester and beyond.
  • You are no longer required to submit a PDF syllabus to Academic Affairs (part of the benefit of Concourse is that several different offices on campus can retrieve course syllabi from the cloud).
  • All faculty are responsible for making sure the syllabus in each of their Canvas sections is current and accurate.
  • Lead Faculty, Program Directors, and course “owners” should be maintaining the syllabus “templates” in Concourse (as you would any other syllabus today). This should be decided among faculty in each program area.
    • If you do not yet have access to those templates for your area, please email James Jarc (jarc.12@mail.cotc.edu)
    • Also, if you need to copy content to part-time or CCP instructors, you will need additional permissions established. Again, contact Dr. Jarc.
  • Do not edit the main entry for “Meeting Information”; this pulls directly from Colleague, and your edits will be overwritten when the data feed runs again overnight. Instead, add a Meeting Time entry if you need to share additional options like clinical locations.
