Greetings, COTC Community-
On behalf of the eLearning Champions Committee (aka, eLCC), we want to thank you for your interest in working to develop high-quality online and hybrid learning experiences for your students. As faculty colleagues, campus leaders, and administrators we are here to help you succeed! We are not here to put up roadblocks… on the contrary, our mission is to support you, coach you, direct you to resources, and encourage you to BE COURAGEOUS in your innovations. Nothing great was ever achieved by taking the safe path.
The eLearning Champions Committee has these four mandates:
- To create and maintain the COTC Distance Education Guidelines Distance Education Guidelines (v. 1.0) policy document
- To facilitate the process for reviewing and approving courses for online delivery
- To facilitate the process for regularly reviewing COTC’s existing online course offerings to ensure the highest quality and to promote innovation
- To facilitate support and professional development in the area of online, distance, and hybrid education
Our portion of the Digital Learning hub is designed to help you navigate the eLearning review and approval process, and to provide links to all sorts of wonderful resources that can help you along the way.
We are excited to roll out several new initiatives during the next academic year, and you can look forward to plenty of communication from us in the coming year. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me or any of the Champions if you need help, have questions, or need support in your online teaching.
