When editing an event in the drop-down menu, times display in 5-minutes increments.
Additional Details: Previously, the drop-down menu was displayed in 30-minute increments.

Improved Inbox Functionality

Rich Content Editor
External Link Icon Update
Summary: The icon identifying the use of external links has been updated.
Change Benefit: This updates the icon to the modern INST-UI version.
Feature Workflow
When an external link is used, the updated icon displays.
Speedgrader
New Quizzes Grade Sync Update
Summary: In Speedgrader, syncing grade changes from a New Quiz has improved.
Change Benefit: This update improves the sync reliability between New Quizzes and Speedgrader.
Feature Workflow
In Speedgrader, edit the points of a New Quiz [1] and click Update [2]. The updated grade is displayed in the sidebar [3].
RCE Icon Maker
Use Custom Images in Icons
Summary: Instructors can upload and crop custom images and course images in the Rich Content Editor Icon Maker.
Change Benefit: This update provides instructors with more options for the customization of icons in the RCE Icon Maker.
Feature Workflow
When adding an image in the RCE Icon Maker, instructors can choose Upload Image [1] or Course Image [2].
To customize an image instructors can use the drop-down menu to select an image and crop the image into a shape [1], rotate the image [2], flip the image [3], zoom the image [4] and reset the image [5].
Course Settings
File Visibility Access
Summary: Instructors can customize file access in public courses.
Change Benefit: This update allows instructors to manage the visibility of specific files in public courses for students.
Feature Workflow
In Course Settings, click the Customize checkbox [1]. This displays the Files drop-down menu [2].
The Files drop-down menu allows instructors to set the file visibility access to the Course, Institution, or Public.
Note: All course files will default to the course file visibility setting. Additionally, individual file settings can be adjusted independently.
- If File Access settings are set to “Course,” files uploaded to the course will only be viewable by users actively enrolled in the course
- If file access settings are set to “Institution,” files uploaded to the course will only be viewable by users actively enrolled in the institution.
- If file access settings are set to “public,” files uploaded to the course will be viewable by any user.
In the Files page, to update an individual file’s visibility access select a file [1] and click the Manage Access button [2].
In the Visibility drop-down menu, the Inherit from Course option is selected by default.
To edit the file permissions, click the Visibility drop-down menu and select an option in the drop-down menu.
Additional Details: When files are uploaded, the file visibility matches the course default setting unless visibility is otherwise specified in the process of uploading the file or adding the file to the course.
