One service I use in my every day life is Microsoft’s OneDrive cloud storage. I use both the personal version and for business through COTC. These services fall under personal and business cloud-computing. This system would certainly not work as well without the cloud, as PC’s only have so much storage, and when it comes to work and school, disk-space can run out quickly. Distributed networks with this system is helpful to help avoid the security issues associated with personal information being stored on a limited number of nodes.

Another cloud service I use frequently is the tv and movies streaming service, Netflix. Netflix is considered a cloud-based entertainment service. With the cloud, users simply have to access a streaming server via the internet, which then connects to a transcoding and then pipeline servers who will retrieve video storage data, streaming that data back to your devices. Other popular examples include amazon web services, Disney+ and Hulu all run with cloud computing. This system was not as fast before the cloud, sending physical DVDs to customers homes via mail service.
